Cork West Civil Defence volunteers were honoured with long service medals. Some received their 10 year, some 20 year and some with over 30 years voluntary service – a remarkable achievement.
A VERY well attended AGM of Clonakilty Special Olympics Club took place recently with an appeal for more volunteers to get involved in the club activities.
Club Manager/Chairperson, Rose Dempsey welcomed all present and herself and Secretary Mary O’ Donovan outlined the club’s activities and achievements over the last year or so. The main highlight was having three club athletes qualifying for the Ireland Games in Golf Skills, but the year was packed with competitions, training and the all important social aspect.

Secretary Skibbereen Youth Cafe Ltd.
FOR a number of years now Skibbereen Youth Cafe has been operating in the Town Hall.
CoAction would like to hear from anyone in the Macroom / Inchigeela areas who would be available to assist a family with a special needs child in their own home on an “as needed” basis.
You may not be required every week and will get advance notice of when you are.
