Humpback whales confirmed off West Cork

THE first ever sightings of humpback whales in Irish waters in April have been confirmed off of the West Cork Coast by the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG).

A research team from the IWDG took biopsy samples from two humpbacks off the coast near Toe Head.
