WITH just over a week to go to the EU Fiscal Treaty Vote, West Cork Sinn Féin are asking people to use their vote and to vote against “a future of more cuts and stealth taxes”.
Party spokesperson, Paul Hayes said, “The Austerity Treaty will not solve the euro zone crisis nor will it fix the Irish economy.
Pat Cox will address the meeting.
AN information meeting on the upcoming Fiscal Stability Treat referendum will be held on Wednesday evening, May 23rd at 6.30 pm in the Munster Arms Hotel, Bandon.
The Meeting will be Chaired by Paddy Duggan and a short welcoming address by Bandon Co Marketing Group who have been working hard to promote the local business and the Town of Bandon.
Gillian Coughlan is urging a yes vote
FIANNA Fáil Bandon town councillor Gillian Coughlan, has called on the people of Cork South West to vote yes in the upcoming stability treaty.
Cllr Coughlan, who was recently elected to the Fianna Fáil National Executive said, “I believe the treaty affirms our resolve to overcome the economic challenges that currently face the Euro zone, by working together.

ON the campaign trail in West Cork, Fianna Fáil Leader Micheál Martin told farmers at Bandon Mart that a yes vote in the upcoming referendum on the Stability Treaty will help secure the future of Irish farming and maintain our strong relationship with Europe in the lead up to CAP negotiations.

LABOUR TD Michael McCarthy has been appointed director of the Labour Party’s campaign for the stability treaty referendum in Cork South-West, it has been announced.
Local area directors have also been confirmed, following a party meeting on Thursday night.
Noel Harrington
WEST Cork’s three TDs, Michael McCarthy (Lab), Noel Harrington (FG) and Jim Daly (FG) are urging voters on Dunmanway, Drimoleague and beyond to vote “yes” in the upcoming Stability Treaty referendum.
Deputy Harrington said, “I am urging everyone across Cork South West to come out and vote Yes on May 31st.
“This Treaty is in the best interest of the country as we continue along the path to recovery. The Treaty is about Ireland; it is about what position we want to put ourselves in as we get back on our feet as a country.

LOCAL Fine Gael TD Noel Harrington is urging people in West Cork to support the passing of the Fiscal Compact Treaty referendum which he says is “in the best interest of Ireland’s future and will help ensure our economic recovery”.
Deputy Harrington said the premise of the Treaty, which centres on responsible budgeting, has long been a commitment of the Fine Gael Party.
