Top European prize for Random Acts of Kindness Festival

THE world’s first ever Random Acts of Kindness Festival held in Clonakilty last July has been awarded the top prize in the European Rural Youth Project of the Year competition.

 

The project was run by Clonakilty Macra with the aim to bring a smile to people’s faces and to show what people can do when they work together.

 

The motto for the weekend long festival was “cut the misery, spread the positivity”. [Read more...]

Clon’s Random Acts of Kindness festival proves a big hit

THE first ever Random Acts of Kindness festival that took place in Clonakilty recently was hugely successful.

More than 1,000 people gathered on Connolly Street from 6.30pm on the Friday evening for the opening event which was a bubble blowing ceremony.

Random Acts of Kindness in Clonakilty

CLONAKILTY will be the venue for a festival of goodwill on July 20th to 22nd celebrating Random Acts of Kindness.

All kinds of selfless acts will be performed to cheer others up with the view to promoting positivity. Businesses, bands, artists, community groups, families and individuals are quickly signing up to get involved to spread the festive cheer.
