West Cork Arts Centre Autumn Programme

West Cork Arts Centre is delighted to announce details of its comprehensive Autumn programme of classes and workshops for children, teenagers and adults.  There are many opportunities for taking on and trying out new interests and activities at the Arts Centre in Skibbereen.

 

Children from the ages of  7 to 11 years are invited to come along to the Drama Club on Tuesdays after school starting on 18 September. This will be a lively and enjoyable series of imaginative drama and puppetry workshops. The course will be delivered by actor, Alison Glennie and supported by WCAC Project Assistant.

Time…and Again and The Dance of Making | Mary Wycherley | Gallery 1 | Sat 21 July – Sat 11 August | 10.00am – 5.00pm | Free

Time…and Again was shot in 2009 on a farm near Skibbereen and is a precursor and conceptually linked work to The Dance of Making, 2012. The use of slow motion cinematography and the deliberate indeterminate time period of the footage, alter our sense of time and place. Festival of the Sea programme released

DETAILS for this year’s Castletownbere Festival of the Sea have been officially announced.

The festival runs from Friday, August 3rd to Thursday, August 9th this year and the committee are looking for volunteers to be stewards throughout the August Bank Holiday.
