SAINT Mary’s Secondary School held a very successful open evening recently.
With fourth year students acting as couriers, prospective students and their parents were invited to tour the school, meet the teachers and experience a wide range of classroom activities.

NATIONAL Heritage Week takes place from 18th – 26th August inclusive, and as part of that, the Clonakilty Museum, will be open from this Wednesday 22nd – Friday 24th from 11.30am 4.00pm daily, with an entry fee of just €1 adults, children free.
And on Saturday 25th, it will open free of charge to all with longer opening hours from 11am – 6pm.
SATURDAY, July 7th is Ireland’s first national tennis day and as part of the nationwide celebrations the Ardfield Rathbarry Tennis Club is hosting a fun-filled and action-packed open day.
On the day the club’s courts and facilities will be freely available from 12pm until 6pm to all members, guests, juniors and adults and invite anyone with an interest in tennis to come along and join in the fun. [Read more...]

MUINEFLIUCH N.S. Community Day was held on Sunday, June 24th last and a large crowd was present to see the unveiling of a sensory garden dedicated to the memory of Mrs Sile Kelly who was Principal of the school for 15 years.
Pupils performed instrumental pieces and choral verse in the garden for the occasion. [Read more...]

IT’S back to business this week with the “2012 Launching and Blessing of the Boats, GalleyFlash Open Day” on Sunday, March 11th next at Kilkern Lake at 3pm.
An open invitation is extended to all young and old to join with the committee and members as the club launches the new season.

THE Waverly Academy, who will shortly be opening their brand new state-of-the-art hair and beauty college in Bandon, held a very successful Open Day at the IDA Business Park in West Cork.
Visitors met the team who will be providing training for those seeking careers in the dynamic world of hair and beauty.
The internationally recognised ITEC qualifications is part-time and is a fantastic opportunity for budding hairdressers or beauticians to obtain formal training in these exciting industries.
