A morale boosting league cup win with five different scorers for the Rebel Army including a first goal for Tadgh Purcell who had been struggling up until last night. Daryl Horgan got the first goal into the shed end after 23 minutes with a curling left footed shot past the keeper.
Spillane passed a few players before getting a rasping shot form 30 yards again into the shed end after 40 minutes just before half time at this stage it was one-way traffic.
