Ailliliú Fionnuala, Donal O’Kelly’s solo show about the Shell Corrib gas project, will play the Lehanmore Theatre in Garnish this Saturday, March 23rd at 8pm.

 

The show has just been selected for a prestigious Edinburgh theatre for the world-renowned Fringe Festival this August.

THE curtains were drawn on the 52nd West Cork Drama Festival recently after the closing production of John MacDwyer’s enjoyable Callaghan’s Place by Palace Players from Fermoy and adjudicator Colin Dolley announced the results to a packed theatre.

THE 52nd West Cork Drama Festival opens in a newly refurbished St Mary’s theatre Rossmore on March 8th and the festival runs until Thursday March 14th.

Thy Will Be Done – in Rossmore

THE Kilmeen Drama Group’s production of Thy Will Be Done by Michael Carey will be staged in Rossmore on four Thursdays in August.

Clon pupils in All Ireland drama competition

FORTY-eight students from third and fourth class in Gaelscoil Chloch na gCoillte travelled to Mullingar this week to compete in the “Féile Drámaíochta na h-Éireann” (All Ireland Drama Festival) for primary schools.

The week-long festival sees pupils from primary schools from all over the country compete in the event.

The Clonakilty Gaelscoil students will enter the Choral Verse section of the festival with “Anseo i Lár an Ghleanna”, having progressed through the County Cork and Munster stages of the competition with the piece since Christmas.
