President to visit Courtmac RNLI during May Bank Holiday weekend
THE President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins will pay a special call to Courtmacsherry RNLI lifeboat station during an official visit to the West Cork village.
While there he will view an impressive historical exhibition which is running all through the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Courtmac to stage Stations of the Cross re-enactment
FOLLOWING the great success of the event in 2011 the village of Courtmacsherry will once again stage a re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross through the village.
Fisherman dies off West Cork coast
A FISHERMAN has died after sustaining serious injuries aboard a fishing trawler some 25 miles off the Old Head Of Kinsale in West Cork.
The alarm was raised at around 6.30pm last Thursday night when the Dunmore East-based 40ft trawler Liberty requested assistance for a seriously injured crew member.

Two rescued by Courtmac Lifeboat
TWO people aboard a yacht that got into trouble off West Cork today (Wednesday) have been rescued by the Courtmacsherry Lifeboat Frederick Storey Cockburn.
The yacht en-route from the Azores to Kinsale has been at sea for 14 days when she got into trouble five miles south of Seven Heads. [Read more...]
