Receiver appointed to Kinsale Hotel

The Carlton Hotel, Kinsale has gone into receivership.

ALL 94 staff at the Carlton Hotel in Kinsale will retain their jobs, despite the appointment of an official receiver it has been confirmed.

 

Kieran Wallace of KPMG has been appointed as receiver for the hotel which will continue to trade as normal and honour all existing bookings.

Major expansion for Eli Lilly in Kinsale

Richard Bruton made the announcement

PHARMACEUTICAL giant Eli Lilly have announced a new €330m investment in Kinsale that will create 200 full-time jobs and another 300 in the construction phase.

The announcement was made today at the Carlton Hotel, Kinsale by Jobs Minister Richard Bruton.

The company is to begin work immediately on the new manufacturing plant at its existing facility at Dunderrow near Kinsale.

THE aptly-named “Rock” of Cork hurling, Diarmuid O’Sullivan was on hand at Kinsale’s Carlton Hotel recently to re-launch the hotel’s Rockpool Restaurant.

Overlooking Oysterhaven Bay at the Carlton Hotel, the re-launch of the Rockpool underlines yet again that Kinsale truly is the Gourmet Capital of the country.
