THE Naval Service has detained a British registered fishing vessel some 30 miles off of Mizen Head for an alleged breach of fishing regulations.
The boat has been escorted to Casteltownbere by the LE Roisín where she was handed over to gardaí.

THREE crewmembers have been rescued from a fishing vessel that got into trouble today (Sunday) off of Union Hall.
The Jeanette Roberto, a 42 ft fibreglass hull fishing boat out of Union Hall was returning to harbour in a heavy swell when she lost power.
The boat was forced onto rocks and the three crewmen abandoned ship in a life raft.
