Cara O’Sullivan lends her support to the Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk for Action Breast Cancer

Announcing the 2013 Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk were Miss Fitz, Suzanne Witterberg-O’Flynn, Anne McCarthy, Jackie Dawson, soprano Cara O’Sullivan, Anne Keelan and Caoilfhionn McDonnell.

SOPRANO Cara O’Sullivan has announced details of the second Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk that takes place on Sunday, March 3^rd at 12pm in aid of Action Breast Cancer.

As Brand Ambassador for the Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk for a second year, Cara will lend her support on the day and will perform acapella to inspire walkers, before she joins them on the 10km scenic route.

There will be an earlier start time of 11.45am for runners. [Read more...]

PEOPLE turned out in their hundreds on Sunday 7^th October for the “Pink Umbrella” Walk in Union Hall, in aid of Action Breast Cancer.

Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk raises more than €100,000 for Action Breast Cancer

THE Committee of the 2012 Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk recently presented a cheque for a whopping €102,849 to Action Breast Cancer following the great success of the walk held on March 4^th.

Chairperson Jackie Dawson said, “We are overwhelmed by this incredible amount raised by so many people in these difficult times for Action Breast Cancer and wish to thank all our particpants, donors, sponsors, volunteers and everyone who got involved with this fantastic community project here in Kinsale.”

Kinsale paints the town pink

IT was a case of painting the town pink in Kinsale at the weekend as more than 750 people turned out to take part in the first ever Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk on Sunday.

The town was bedecked in pink balloons, banners and posters as runners and walkers took on the 10km course around the town in great spirits.
