THE South West Fishery Local Action Group will host an information and ideas meetings on Wednesday, June 26th next in Castletownbere at the BIM Fishery College from 8pm.
All those connected with or interested in fisheries, the marine economy, and Marine tourism are encouraged to attend.
THE RNLI Castletownbere Lifeboat came to the aid off of the West Cork coast where a small yacht had got into trouble.
The vessel, the 27′ yacht Caroline had a crew of two men aboard when she got into difficulty at around 6am on Monday morning while travelling from Valentia Island in Co. Kerry to Cape Clear.

A GROUP of leading French travel writers visited West Cork recently as guests of Tourism Ireland, Fáilte Ireland and Brittany Ferries. Representing a wide range of travel and lifestyle publications (both traditional and online), the group sailed to Cork from Roscoff to experience at first-hand some of the many things to see and do in this part of Ireland for French holidaymakers.
