BAFTA gong for West Cork’s Graham

BANDON’S Graham Norton has been awarded the BAFTA for Best Entertainment Performance.

The West Cork star was unable to accept the award in person at a star-studded ceremony in London as he was in Baku, Azerbaijan presenting the BBC’s coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest.

BAFTA host on the night was fellow Irishman Dara O’Briain who was also in contention for the Best Entertainment Performance award.

The big Wicklow man was happy to see the award for to Norton though joking, “I can’t begrudge Graham, he’s spent the past 24 hours comforting Engelbert Humperdinck.”
