A NEW website, www.discoverwestcork.com based on the Trip Advisor model will enable tourism providers to engage with tourists in free to join online forums.
The forums are all moderated by local experts in particular parts of West Cork and also in specialist activities such as whale watching, hill walking, sailing and Golf.
Speaking at the recent launch of the site in Kinsale, Discover West Cork.Com Director Stuart McNamara said, “Discover West Cork.Com is now live and active. We also have www.discoverwestcork.co.uk marketing West Cork Tourism directly to the UK and www.discoverwestcork.ie targeting the home or Irish market.
“The site is based on the Trip Advisor model. We build an online community of registered forum members composed of both West Cork Tourism providers and Visitors. Registration is completely free.”
Discover West Cork.Com is also affiliated with Gulliver, the respected Irish booking engine.
Mr McNamara said the website was currently looking for tourism providers to get involved with the site and for moderators in the online visitor forums.
