ONE of West Cork’s best-known brands, Clonakilty Black Pudding has announced a three-year sponsorship agreement with Cork City FC.
The deal will see the Clon company have its distinctive logo displayed on the new Cork City home and away strips.
The new jerseys will be unveiled in the coming weeks in advance of the 2012 year Airtricity Premier Division where Cork City FC kick off their campaign away to UCD.
Colette Twomey, MD of Clonakilty Food Company said, “We are thrilled to have come on board with Cork City FC.
“As an independent family owned business, we can relate to the strong sense of community ethos within the club.
“We were particularly impressed by the resilience displayed by the club and its supporters during recent times of adversity and subsequent revival.
“We are delighted to be able to support the Club and hopefully enable them push on to further success in the premier division in 2012.”
Established in 1983, the Clonakilty Food Company employs 42 people and produces a wide range of products including its signature black pudding, white pudding, sausages and rashers.
