THE season for the U8 boys and girls finished off last Friday evening with a kiddies disco in the pavilion. Big thank you to all the coaches and parents who lend a hand with this event.
The U16 footballers were out in championship last Monday evening against Naomh Aban in Dunmanway.
After an even first half Skibb trailed by a goal 1-8 to 1-5 at halftime, Joe Lynch scoring the Skibb goal after a great passage of passing.
However the second half was dominated by Naomh Aban with some excellent long range points and they ran out winners on a score of 2-19 to 1-9.
Despite the defeat the team can report significant progress this year with the help of Sean Carmody, Diarmuid Lucey, Con McCarthy and Tommy Salter. The under age club have arranged a bus (kids and adults) for the senior county semifinal v Duhallow in Pairc Ui Rinn on Saturday night.
