A GOOD Samaritan has come to the aid of the children at Gaelscoil Chloch na gCoillte who were asked to bring their own toiler paper to school due to a lack of funds in the school budget.

The school hit the headlines across the country after a report in the Irish Examiner highlighted their predicament.

Now, a Louth-based toilet-paper company has stepped in to provide free toilet paper after sales manager Shane McEntaggart heard of the school’s plight on the RTÉ 2FM breakfast show.

Mr McEntaggart, said that the company, Dawn Paper & Tissue from Drogheda will send a 10-pack of the company’s new Silk ‘n’ Soft brand to every child and staff member at the school.

Principal Carmel Nic Airt told the breakfast show presenter Hector Ó hEochagáin that everyone at the school was very grateful for the donation.
