Something for everyone at the Ballingeary show

THE 49th annual Ballingeary Show will take place on Sunday, August 26th next and as usual features a huge variety of events, stalls and attractions.

Highlights of this year’s show include the South Western Shorthorn Breeders Society Heifer Final, the €1,500 West Cork Horsebreeders Co-op Progeny Championship, the Celtic Ross Hotel, KWD Recycling/ IDSHL  €3,000 IDSHL Munster Foal Championship, the Irish Draught Colt Foal Championship and the Conoco Phillips Three-Year-Old Filly All-Ireland Championship.

As well as the major contests there will be numerous attractions to entertain visitors of all ages including live music and dancing platform, animal magic & falconry display; Coolwood animal zoo; most suitably dressed lady; sheaf throwing; Toonsbridge buffalo; bonny baby show; Ballingeary Pipe Band; old time machinery; vintage cars and much more.
