SHAMROCK Vacations Limited has been named as the overall winner of the West Cork Enterprise Board’s Local Company of the Year Award 2013. The award ceremony which took place on October 30th in Skibbereen saw female entrepreneurs, Genevieve Sheehan and Isabella O’Connor presented with the West Cork Local Company of the Year award for their business success.
THE recent West Cork Business Seminar organised by Clonakilty Chamber of Commerce was a sell-out event which drew over 140 business people together to listen and draw inspiration from the renowned speakers.
Cormac Tobin, CEO of Celesio UK, the parent group behind the retail giant, Lloyds Pharmacy and once a protégé of the supermarket supremo Fergal Quinn set the tone for the evening and held the audience enthralled.

WOMEN who are running or managing small businesses are being invited by the West Cork Enterprise Board to attend National Women’s Enterprise Day 2013, which is taking place on October 16th and 17th at the Heritage Hotel in Portlaoise.
The event is one of the most significant in the calendar for women in business, offering advice, networking and mentoring sessions.
THE Clonakilty Chamber of Commerce will play host to David Duffy, CEO, AIB at a special business breakfast event on Friday 20th September at 7.45am at Inchydoney Lodge and Spa in aid of Co-Action West Cork.
The event entitled “A Vision for Prosperity” will focus on connecting the general and business communities of the area to encourage positivity and confidence for the future.
