SKIBBEREEN has got talent! Mercy Heights transition Year students are putting on a production of The Sound of Music.
Under the guidance of Ms Brennan, Ms Lieber, Ms Hennessy and Ms Griffin, the girls have been busy rehearsing and perfecting their adaptation of the classic musical.
The Glengarriff Youth Theatre Group presents Debutantes Cabaret devised by Activate Youth Theatre, by permission of Graffiti Theatre Company, Glengarriff Parochial Hall, Monday, May 20th and Tuesday, May 21th at 8pm.
€5 for adults and €3 for schoolchildren.

AFTER the phenomenal success of Oklahoma, Showboat and Calamity Jane the Briery Gap Presents it’s fourth annual musical South Pacific.
The theatre are delighted to welcome back Kevin Hough (RTE) to direct undoubtedly one of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most glorious scores, featuring magnificent numbers including ‘I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair’, ‘Some Enchanted Evening’, ‘Happy Talk’ and ‘There Is Nothin’ Like A Dame’.
The revamped Rossmore Theatre will host the festival.
THE West Cork Drama Festival committee, based in the theatre, Rossmore, are delighted to have the honour of hosting the 61st All Ireland Confined Drama finals from April 19-27th this year (the open finals are always in Athlone).
While the recipe for the renowned Clonakilty Blackpudding, primary sponsor of the festival, remains secret, the drama festival ‘ingredients’ are now known.

ALL systems are go in Clondrohid Community Hall over the next few weeks, Showstoppers are staging their seventh production and to date have raised over €28,000 for different charities.
O What A Life will run on April 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th in Clondrohid Community Hall at 8pm nightly and ticket booking: 087 857 5153 after 3pm and admission is €10.

THE curtains were drawn on the 52nd West Cork Drama Festival recently after the closing production of John MacDwyer’s enjoyable Callaghan’s Place by Palace Players from Fermoy and adjudicator Colin Dolley announced the results to a packed theatre.
The revamped Rossmore Theatre will host the festival.
