PUPILS at Scoil Náisiúnta Rae na Scríne welcomed their Easter Chicks again this year. Under the strict supervision of Peter Óg Hill, eggs from last years chickens were placed in the incubator on February 26th calculted to hatch on March 20th.

West Cork Londis stores supporting Irish food producers

Londis Stores across West Cork and the whole country have joined forces to help promote the Clonakilty breakfast range as part of their policy of promoting indigenous Irish companies.

 

Following last year’s rollout of a national chill distribution service by ADM Londis indigenous local companies can now distribute their products to more than 400 Londis stores in Ireland including Walsh’s, Clonakilty and Dunmanway, Hernon’s, Bandon and Hennessy’s in Skibbereen.

THE curtains were drawn on the 52nd West Cork Drama Festival recently after the closing production of John MacDwyer’s enjoyable Callaghan’s Place by Palace Players from Fermoy and adjudicator Colin Dolley announced the results to a packed theatre.

THE rain held off for the most part as towns and villages across West Cork wore the green with pride this St Patrick’s Day.

Volunteer for CoAction summer camps in West Cork
