THE work of seven students in Macroom Youth Reach Centre for Education culminated in the creation of an outdoor chalkboard play area for children in the autistic unit of St Coleman’s Primary School, Macroom.
The project was undertaken as part of the Leaving Cert Applied Curriculum under the guidance of the Careers Guidance teacher Alayne Hynes and Art Craft and Design teacher Daragh Martin respectively.
As part of the community work module the students chose to work with St Coleman’s Boys National School, Macroom, in appreciation of the support which the Principal Mr Martin Clancy has consistently offered the Youth Reach programme.
