Garda School’s Programme visits Bandon Junior Cert students

On Wednesday September 13th, the Junior Certificate results came out, well done to all; we hope that you achieved the results that you wished for.

As part of An Garda Síochána’s ongoing Schools Programme, Garda Damian White visited all four secondary schools in Bandon to give a presentation to the students who are getting their results today.

The main focus was to encourage responsible behaviour when celebrating, and to ensure that they remember this landmark day for all the right reasons, and not for any negative ones.

The vast majority of our young people celebrate in a very mature, responsible fashion, so let’s focus on the positives, in a bid to reduce the negative stereotypes.

Many thanks to the Principals and management team at Bandon Grammar School, Hamilton High School, Colaiste na Toirbhirte, and Saint Brogan’s College, for facilitating these important talks, hopefully the students got some benefit from them.
