Clonakilty toymaker Little Green Dot marks four years in business with a weekend of celebrations

Little Green Dot launched their unique craft business in October 2013. Their work has always been guided by an environmentally and socially conscious ethos and this ethical focus, as well as the use of bright Scandinavian-inspired designs, appears to have struck a chord with people.

Four years later, the work of this Clonakilty based craft business is now available in over 20 select giftshops nationwide and there is big demand for their handmade toys and baby gifts such as blankets, hats, booties and bandana bibs. They also have their own Irish-Made Design Shop (and Craft Studio) in the heart of Clonakilty which showcases their work as well as that of over 15 other Cork-based Makers.

As a celebration of their successes and the fourth birthday milestone, Little Green Dot will have a party weekend from Friday October 13th- Sunday 15th. There will be give-aways, discounts and lots of cake instore and people can also get 10% off online purchases all weekend with the discount code ‘4YEARS’.  As the owner/maker Lisa Tonge explains “we are so chuffed to have made it so far and are immensely proud of ourselves on reaching our fourth birthday. None of this would have been possible without the amazing support we have received over the years and this weekend’s party is a little thank-you as well as an excuse to let our hair down a bit’.

Little Green Dot make contemporary, quality baby gifts and toys, in a traditional and ethical way, so that they will be cherished now and in the future. They have appeared on television and in many national and local publications. They were also shortlisted in the Maternity and Infant Award 2016 and 2014 Final in two categories, trendy tots and best toy brand. They are registered with the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland and Cork Craft and Design.  See for more information.
