Clonakilty pupil wins top prize in Texaco Children’s Art Competition

SIX-year-old Eibhlín Murphy from St Joseph’s Girls National School in Clonakilty has been named as the winner in the 6 years and under age category at the 63rd Texaco Children’s Art Competition.

Eibhlín wins a €150 Art & Hobby gift voucher for her work entitled ‘Daisies’.

Other local winners in this year’s competition included Phillippa McIntosh (9), from Kinsale Art Academy and Charlie Quinlan (8) from Katherine Griffiths’ Art Class, Bandon.

Prizes will be presented at an awards ceremony in Dublin next month when all of the 126 top prize-winners will be in attendance.
