Students from Colaiste Na Toirbhirte, Bandon entered the PDST Mini Company Competition with their company ‘Draw me a Story’ recently.

The girls involved Cathy Lynch, Emma Crowley, Carrie Crowley and Adi O’Sullivan wrote an interactive children’s book to promote healthy eating whereby children can illustrate the story. The girls are donating €1 from the sale of each book to the Paediatric Unit in Cork University Hospital and to date have raised almost €300.

The books are retailing at €5 and are available to buy in 3 shops in Bandon, Bandon Books, Hickeys and O’Farrell’s.

The students were successful in winning first place in two out of six categories- Presentation and Quality. They were also successful in securing a place in the ‘PDST Get up and Go’ National Finals on the 2nd of May.
