Bandon CETB students receive QQI awards

IT is never easy to go back to education but it can be hugely beneficial in terms of one’s CV and also in terms of soft outcomes such as self-confidence. It is important that the students’ efforts are recognised.

On Thursday November 24th 2016, 56 successful students received QQI (formerly FETAC) awards at the CETB Bandon Adult Education Centre.

They had completed their courses during the 2015-16 academic year. The courses taken included: Healthcare; Information Technology; Communications; Personal Effectiveness, First Aid and English Language.

The awards were presented by Mr Michael Crowley, CETB Further Education & Training Area Coordinator for West Cork.

He praised the students for their efforts and thanked their tutors for the help and support they had provided to the students during their courses.

For those who are considering doing a course in 2017, CETB Bandon Adult Education Centre will be offering free two-hour taster sessions during the week beginning Monday December 12th in photography, crafts, music, creative writing and using a smart phone. Anybody interested can contact Raymond O’Regan on 023 884 2870 / 086 823 9094 or at Raymond.ORegan@corketb.ie.
