This morning (Thursday) residents of Schull in West Cork woke up in their beautiful harbour town to a local sculpture destroyed while rubbish was dumped in the area.
Locals who clean up the area every morning were horrified on what they came across from overnight activities.
They believe people were drinking late at night and caused the destruction.
Paul Phillips of the Schull District Community Council spoke with Patricia Messinger on C103’s Cork Today this morning.
Paul says what took place overnight in Schull and the destroying of a community sculpture is “disgraceful and disgusting”.
