A Singles event organised for the well-known Levi’s Bar in Ballydehob in West Cork attracted attention from plenty of women but the men of West Cork didn’t show!
Around 20 single women turned up for the “First Tastes” date night but not one single (single) man.
Despite Male callers to Patricia Messinger on C103’s Cork Today show stating they find it hard to hook up with a woman in rural Ireland no men showed up!
Joe O’Leary from Levi’s bar told Patricia, “They’re about, you see them floating about, driving around in their tractors. I just think maybe the women, the fairer sex, are also the braver sex and they said ‘let’s go out there and hook up’.
“It’s been a bit embarrassing really, almost mortifying for the village of Ballydehob, because everyone there is gutsy in general but when it came to the blind date the men were not to be found,” he added, “the men have no balls!”
