A year of exceptional growth set for hotel groups Manor House Hotels & Irish Country Hotels

Manor House Hotels & Irish Country Hotels experienced unprecedented growth of 29% in revenue in 2016 and early booking levels for 2017 are shaping up to be another exceptional year.

At their AGM held in both The Sneem Hotel and Parknasilla Resort and Spa, Kerry on Tuesday, they reported sales growth of 21% in visitor numbers across their 2 hotel brands. 

Siobhan McManamy, Director of Markets, Tourism Ireland, spoke at the event about Building on Ireland’s Tourism Growth for the Future and the impact of Brexit and the effect it will have on Tourism in Ireland over the coming months. Josephine O’Driscoll, Failte Ireland, spoke at the event about the opportunities for the hotels to actively get involved in the promotion of the failte Ireland brand propositions Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s Ancient East, Dublin Breath of Fresh Air. 

Stephen Belton of Garryvoe Hotel, Cork and Pamela Bradley of Manor House Hotels and Irish Country Hotels ran a demonstration of the new innovative technology which is currently being implemented across the organization and is a central reservation system that will provide hotels core CRS technology to gain a truly complete picture of business helping hotels make informed decisions to drive business forward.  

Hotel owners and management from the 55 strong organisations attended the AGM. The company was founded by Fáilte Ireland so that family run hotels could come together under one umbrella for international marketing. Mary Fitzgerald, Chairperson of Manor House Hotels & Irish Country Hotels was excited about the growth levels experienced at 21% of visitors when compared with the national average of 10% visitor growth. The genuine hospitality, warm welcome, fine food and overall experiential experience coupled with increased marketing spend in core markets were the main drivers for this growth, which Manor House Hotels and Irish Country Hotels members and staff are very proud of.  

Speakers during the day included Ciarán Ó Gaora Brand Strategist, Communications Designer and founder  Zero G, JP O’Malley – Director of Research and Strategy at Zero-G, Donie O’Brien of Eno Wines and Brid O’Connell from Guaranteed Irish – all Irish Country Hotels are members of Guaranteed Irish and have a strong focus on locally sourced produce.
